Prospective Students The goal of Professional School Advising (OPSA) is to help you develop into a top canididate
for your chosen profession.
OPSA is the centralized location for Texas A&M University students to gain advice on applying to medical, law, dental, veterinary medicine, nursing, physician assistant, prospective, pharmacy, and physical therapy programs. OPSA resources are available to all current and Former Students of Texas A&M University.
While a majority of the Texas A&M graduates matriculate to Texas professional schools, Aggies are also well represented at top programs across the nations. One of the main questions high school students ask is, "What should I choose as a major:" The answer is quite simple: Pick the major that will make you the most successful student. Professional schools do not give preference to one major over the other. They do, however, take grades and entrance exams quite seriously. So, pick the major that will help you achieve that 4.0 and enjoy your studies during your undergraduate years. If you're having difficulty choosing your major, I suggest that you look up at least 4 majors that sound interesting to you and compare them. You can do this by accessing the course catalog and admissions.
